Richmond RCMP is announcing the successful execution of the latest ‘Project Boost & Bust’ operations on March 9 and 21, 2024, as part of our ongoing commitment to combat property crime and retail theft.

The March operations targeting retail theft resulted in the arrests of numerous individuals and recovery of stolen goods, contributing to the overall effectiveness of the crime reduction strategy.
Key highlights from the March operations:

‘Boost & Bust’ operations are part of our ongoing commitment to foster safer commercial environments. This operation showcases the determination of the Property Crime Unit, frontline officers, our Crime Analysis Unit, and local businesses to maintain Richmond as a safe community for both retailers and customers.

We extend our gratitude to our partners, including local businesses and the Loss Prevention Officers (LPOs), for their continued support and cooperation. LPOs play a critical role in identifying shoplifters and providing evidence to aid in arrest, investigation and prosecution. Together with our partners, we will continue to deter crime and ensure the safety of our community.
